Most of you completely missed the point of this movie and that’s exactly why I loved it.
Most of the bad reviews for this movie are from people who only watched it for the romance, the cast, or because they wanted “great acting.” And yeah, if that’s all you care about, you’re going to miss the entire point. The romance is just a cover. the real story is about patterns, synchronicity, and the way everything is connected for a reason.
There’s a line Noah says: “People who see patterns are mad men.” Because if that’s true, then I guess I’m one of them. I notice things the same numbers showing up, the same faces, events repeating in weird ways and I’ve always felt like there has to be a reason. This movie basically took that part of my brain and put it on a screen.
Most people didn’t like it because they wanted a thriller with twists, not a quiet reminder that life might be a giant puzzle. Yeah, the acting isn’t amazing and the ending isn’t shocking but for me, it’s about what it really means. It’s about asking “is the universe trying to tell us something, and are we even paying attention?”
This movie isn’t for everyone. But if you’re the kind of person who looks at your day and thinks “that can’t be a coincidence,” you might feel seen in a way you didn’t expect. I know I freaking did.
