There is little artistry to this doc, and the only pleasure to be found is in seeing Duffy say the most insane things as a result of extreme delusions of grandeur, but those pleasures are worth the watch.
This guy is like “we are gonna change film forever. This is gonna be the biggest movie of all time.”

I hated Boondock Saints when I was younger, having first-hand experience with the Boston bro ethos it celebrates. Of course this dude pals around with Marky Wahlburger, of course in the gold rush of post-Tarantino indies there was an appetite for edgy bullshit, of course after hearing this guy talk within the first five minutes of the doc you could read him flawlessly. Some of the schadenfreude really comes in with the stuff about his shitty band and the dopey entourage of drunk townies he strings along. Still, he did sorta get screwed over and it turns out reveling in his failure is complicated given it comes at the hands of a real piece of shit.
