Lots of thoughts on this one. First half is really cool and the second half definitely drags at first but then the guy who is banging his wife on Earth gets introduced and shit gets crazy. Dune handles a lot of the ideas here better tbh. Zulawski clearly has stuff in this he’s more into than some other stuff, but it’s still a remarkable piece all together. I mean the scale and just everything filmmaking wise about this is insane, which is why it’s even more tragic. The movie is definitely incomplete which makes some stuff unintentionally confusing despite Zulawski’s best efforts. But talk about an ending shot and dialogue. “My name is Andrzej Zulawski. I’m the director of On the Silver Globe.”

This film really doesn’t hold your hand when it comes to understanding wtf is going on 🤣
First 40ish minutes were a struggle for me but once it gets past the Old Man and onto the 2nd protagonist it gets really good
Was difficult to follow the parts that were narrated but not much they could do there since the actual footage was destroyed 😆
