❝You know what you got, kid? You've got us. We've got each other. And if that ain't a family, I don't know what is.❞

The penguins are my favourite part of the Madagascar films; they're a lot of fun and very unintentionally funny. While the plot is a little half-baked, Penguins of Madagascar allows us to take a closer look at the dynamics between the titular characters as well as discover a whole world of animals working in much the same manner. The antagonist, Dave, is alright as far as children's media villains go, though not as enjoyable, but John Malkovich does a great job bringing him to life. Overall, not bad at all as an entry into the beloved series.
