My Life in Pink

Despite how unbearably frustrating every cis character is in this, the joy and hope and imagination that this little girl has, the future she envisions for herself in vivid technicolor and dreamy flight, make this such a beautiful watch for me. there was so much love and color in the first half and it makes it so much harder once the saturation fades and blues and Ludovic begins to lose herself. But the film never loses its affection and sensitivity toward Ludo even as the adults refuse to open their minds. despite its misgivings i think this is quite progressive for its time. May every little girl just like Ludo and every little boy just like Chris find each other.

Enjoyed watching but don’t want to see it again. Really conflicted about the characters and ending even because there’s no was Ludo just. Feels better.
