I WOULD DIE A MILLION DEATHS FOR JAMES BUCHANAN BARNES

One of my personal favorite marvel films, it’s just pure peak marvel. It’s got probably the greatest fight sequence in all of Marvel with the airport fight scene, absolutely legendary and the climax fight with iron man and captain America is also absolutely legendary. Some more phenomenal characters are introduced in this one like the black panther and Spider-Man. I will admit that Spider-Man is one of my main drag downs of this film but that’s mostly because I don’t agree with how they wrote this Spider-Man and picking an actor that doesn’t really embody the character super well. I loved the fact that they brought in antman though. I did like the simplicity of the villains motives and how his motivations of revenge are what he uses as motivation for the avengers to turn on each other in the end sequence. It’s kind of poetic. The story is great all around, super solid film though I do have another criticism. The title should’ve been Avengers civil war not captain America. I understand that not all of the avengers were present for this but it doesn’t really feel like a captain America film at all, it’s a dumb critique but it’s always gotten under my skin a bit on why it’s not an actual avengers title. I will rewatch this though, I love it.

I haven't picked a side, I will never pick a side. I see the rights and wrongs of both of them so therefore I can't choose. But if there was a third team with just ant-man and spiderman, then I pick that one!

Managing a dozen massive personalities is hard enough, but Civil War acts as the perfect runway for two of Marvel’s biggest icons. The way these characters are integrated into the narrative fabric without derailing the main plot is incredible in script management...

Chadwick Boseman brings an immediate, regal gravity to the film. Driven by grief and a fierce desire for vengeance after a tragedy, his arc is deeply serious and provides a grounded counterweight to the grander superhero politics. Visually, his fighting style is stunning, sleek, predatory, and incredibly entertaining. On the absolute opposite end of the spectrum is Holland’s debut as a wide-eyed, chatty Peter Parker. his introduction breathes a massive gust of fresh, youthful oxygen into a tense movie. His eager, star-struck banter mid-battle perfectly captures the classic comic book essence of the character!

​The Leipzig-Halle Airport sequence is the ultimate comic-book splash page brought to life. It’s an incredibly creative, joyful showcase of power synergy, like Ant-Man going giant or Spider-Man webbing up Giant-Man's legs in a classic Star Wars homage. Despite the grand scale, the choreography keeps a crisp visual clarity, so you always know exactly where every hero is and what they are fighting for!

As spectacular as the airport battle is, the film’s real climax is the brutal, heartbreaking three-way brawl in Siberia between Captain America, Iron Man, and the Winter Soldier. This isn't an arena fight for points or a misunderstanding; it is a raw, agonizingly intimate betrayal fueled by raw grief. The visual layout drops the colourful aesthetic for a cold, metallic, suffocating frame. Every shield strike and repulsor blast feels heavy and exhausting, transforming the superhero fun of the earlier acts into a tragic, devastating collapse of a friendship.

Such a great movie, it introduced some new superheroes, which is always nice. They also did a great job with the pacing of the movie, it didn't feel like it was around 2 hours and 30 minutes. It was never really boring or slow for me, which made it comfortable to watch through. Overall, such a great movie. It seems I like all the Captain America movies so far.

What a fantastic superhero movie!!! Not only does it have great spectacle and amazing fight scenes but the political aspect of this film is just as good as the spectacle if not better! Truly a masterpiece.
