It’s kind of crazy the actors they had in this movie and the concept for it to be so mid, especially the ending to be a pretty big letdown. The majority of the movie was this buildup and life of an infantryman living in the trenches of WW1, sounds great but the end had no payoff for the buildup really. There’s really nothing that happens throughout the film, it’s a big nothing burger. The editing at the end when they go over the wall was also super clunky, I thought my screen was freezing. I did like the conversations between the men in the trench to pass boredom, I was right there beside them in that boredom, though I felt it was an authentic conversation. The sarge was the glue to this movie and made the whole thing really. Meh, I probably don’t need a rewatch.
