A movie that lets us wait for the big dramatic scenes and realistically portrays a dysfunctional relationship without moralizing.The realism could be argued lacking, due to the character's seemingly irrational behaviors. But we all know that people's actions aren't rational when ingredients like betrayal and desires are involved.The choices we make to become happy often result in us being less happy. Not all of us know what would make us happy in the first place so all we can do is try.Happy End is ultimately a dark portrayal of human nature, painted in a detailed manner.Engaging, moving, sad, and sometimes horrifying it moves towards melancholy towards the ending that makes it almost appear to be a happy ending after all.
