i love the muppets, i really do. this is cute, but it’s definitely not the best of their Christmas specials/movies; honestly it’s probably one of my least favourites. i have mixed feelings about the muppets being Disney-fied and this has that vibe. it’s funny (especially the scene where Sam the Eagle does the whole “opening someone else’s mail is a federal offense” line) but felt too subdued and almost dumbed-down.
i stand by my review from last year stating that their Christmas sweaters are super cute. but i decreased the star rating because i feel like i’m slowly liking this less as i get older.
sidenote: Tom Collins from Rent, what are you doing in this post office with the muppets?! i love Jesse L. Martin‘s voice so much.
