are you actually kidding me.... one of the best things i've ever seen... what an amazing dance between stage theatre and film. i was transported... also what a queer movie ?!!!! but the sets and lighting and performances and storytelling and compositions...! what mastery of the beauty of film for real.....

Kon Ichikawa does a stylish take on a revenge story. The production designs are wonderful, and there are some really beautiful imagery used, using both highly theatrical and highly cinematic tricks to tell the story.
