see i know that this film wasn’t one of those films that got a theatrical release but rather one of the ones that is made for you to view on the television and often i see some people not count them as “actual” films because of that simple factor which i don’t get why since some of these made for television films are ones that i tend to have some fun and great times with while watching and this one was one of those like sure often at times they may be too cheesy for some people but i loved the story in this one because it was one that was real and one that i can see resonates with so many other who aspire to be in that line of work which is modeling and how some like myself will see all these very glamorous and very good looking people on our screens or on magazine covers and sitting there just wishing that someday we could be able to experience that sort of lifestyle and career because as an outsider you see it as something so luxurious and also watch these same people live such “happy” lives from your screen or from that cover photo of them on whatever magazine but then you get a glimpse of what it’s like to be in their shoes and how on the other side it’s not all rainbows and sunshine but it tends to have such a huge impact on these peoples lives and how often they will resort to using drugs or alcohol to sort of heal that pain and drainage that they have inside of themselves because in that line of career you really have to try and prove yourself to so many others and also how much of it takes a toll on your mental state and also your body from so many stories you hear of these models being put onto these very strict diets so that they don’t gain an ounce of weight or lose that perfect visual which when you look at it these are actual human beings not some puppets to play with for some time but once they aren’t valuable anymore you can just discard them away and i do love the idea that they went with a male lead for this film because we often see the perspective from a woman most of the time so i did love how they decided to approach it through the eyes of a male model and his ups and downs during his journey of becoming this admired person by many and from the start you can see that this wasn’t something that he wanted to do but rather he did it for the agent that he thought had “loved” him but rather she was just using him for her own little plaything and also for how much man he was also bringing in for her but even still was fooling around with other models while seeing him which i’m glad that in the end he left that line of career and decided to head back to home where he felt like himself and got his happy ending as you could say.
also one thing i’d got to say is that jon erik-hexum was a absolute hunk in this film and i couldn’t stop thinking it while watching ♡
