really wanted to love this more, as the premise is pretty sound, but just felt like there was a little spark missing.
definitely an all-vibes-no-plot kind of film, that unfortunately i didn’t connect with. maybe it’s because i’m not obsessed with cars? maybe it’s due to my lack of affinity to the early 70s culture? (side note: were they really all getting in and out of strangers’ cars this much??).
as the story progresses the race gets forgotten, the girl gets tired of the masculine bravado displays, and it all kind of just comes to an end.
