At least in this version, the creator didn’t hate his creation The last scene was incredibly good, and I love how colorful and campy all of this is

Do you truly like movies if you can't enjoy both serious arthouse films and movies where people explode due to super crack? This movie has no right being as good as it is. Henenlotter's direction demonstrates the true what-the-fuckery that movies like this deserve while also commenting on issues such as the way prostitutes are treated and how men control the way women look. This movie was consistently entertaining, featuring some fun acting, amusing special effects, and a great pace that delivers on freaky imagery without sacrificing the plot. The seediness of New York was easy to get sucked into, and the tone was perfectly complemented throughout the entire movie. It stays in its lane without being too ridiculousm without becoming boring. It's dumb, but it's exactly what I wanted it to be.
