Kind of a mashup of earth girls are easy, spaceballs, and better off dead, but definitely not as good as any of those.
Some classic side character faces here- dr walter jenning from howard the duck (who IRL is a huge scumbag), tony from blossom, budnick from salute your shorts, inga from young frankenstien and the one and only jon lovitz.
Tod Spengo (lovitz) is all set to destroy the earth until he spots a minnesota mom type, and abducts her.
It’s up to her and her wet blanket husband to save the world. Pretty straightforward- they are both just oblivious to everything and unphased, which was the go-to schtick of the time. It’s pretty charmless which is probably why I’d never even heard of it until recently. There’s some muppets n shit. Idk.
