very very interesting movie. There were a lot of flaws, specifically in Darius and how his friend group views women that weren't really challenged and i think that's a shame. It would have elevated the movie. Sadly, i think that must just be a writing/directing bias that falls through the cracks of every 90s/00s romance movie.
Still, I loved the conversations between Nina and Darius. Even if I don't really see things working out for them, I do see a genuine connection that is equal parts silly and serious. They both opened up different parts of each other that nobody else in the movie could do for them.
I love loveee the focus on friendship and tumultuous relationships as well as the main romance. I do love a movie full of different characters with motivations that make sense to them n nobody else pffff.All in all a very human movie, even if i have some gripes with the writing i think there are fun conversations that can come out of it.
