a really trashy zombie movie, but surprisingly an enjoyable one. definitely only really for a certain vibe, as the really crude, gross out humour definitely isn’t for everyone - but there’s nice gore, some decently likeable characters (despite being generic, plus forgettable). the zombies are cool, and that zombie dick scene was amazing.

First the positives:
Augie is a cinematic masterpiece, their weapons were sick as heck, there were some fantastic song choices for battle scenes.

Now the rest:
They are trying to do Shaun of the Dead, but raunchy and bad. They really wanted Carter to be Jonah Hill's character from Super Bad, but he's worse and so unlikeable and trying to be too nonchalant.

The writing on this is impressively bad. This random army guy being used for plot armor, and a random diary being brought up just to move the plot along. And the character of Denise spends the entire movie just stating the extreme obvious.

Why are these zombies sentient enough to take of their bras and shoot guns... and sing Brittany Spears ig? A Nicholas Cage zombie... really?
