The Roost

One of West’s earliest films, and you can see the love of the craft especially the horror host segments. Goddamn I’d love to see a show hosted by Tom Noonan like that! But like most of his flicks, it is a little slow but not as much as his later stuff to make up for it all. 

Worth checking out for the Halloween atmosphere and if you want to see everything West has done at least

The main players really drag this one down. Everything works but you’re hard pressed to keep the movie on after protracted exposure to the utterly uninteresting actors carrying it. I don’t mean Noonan, of course. I guess the end credits song sucks, too.

I was surprised how much I liked the cgi bats, how the zombie stuff stayed amusing, and the way this flick wrings fun out of a low budget. Glass Eye Pix always charms me.
