also nobody understands how freaking obsessed with matt dillon I was after seeing the outsiders in 7th grade so this movie was such a treat. he looks so beautiful 😣 the outfits in this movie are also just perfection. I wish I could be one of those cool 70s and 80s fashion girlies 💗

When the girl beat Cinder, it felt like she beat my worst enemy. Girls like Cinder were my biggest nightmare as a teenager: petty, competitive, and cruel for no reason

this was such a refreshing and beautiful take on teen sex movies, especially for the time, also the dynamics between all the girls didn’t feel cliche or forced i loved it! that food fight scene made me so happy!!!  it’s only three and a half stars cause i’m bitter that they weren’t contextual lesbians.

Very weird to watch a coming of age drama centred around sex with underage actresses (some of the shots were very distasteful with young teenagers involved, ugh the 80s sure were a time huh). Thank god it was all suggestion and talk. Bits where things were off or shifted too dramatically.  The experience of girlhood was handled delicately at times when it was meant to be (really appreciated how the girls were girls, resonated with my childhood a lot) Really loved the ending, how friendship prevailed.
