Scooby Doo-esque mystery in spooky house with an endless amount of trap doors and secret passageways…what’s not to love!? Lon Chaney is so creepy in this but there’s plenty of genuine laugh out loud funny moments as well. If you’re not familiar with the “Old Dark House” genre, I think this is a good place to start. I really enjoyed Johnny Arthur in this and was hoping to find more silent films to watch in his filmography, but it turns out he mostly did talkies! Oh well!
