It’s a wonderfully insane concept that works really well as this zany crime story, but I feel like the story becomes less engaging towards the last act and loses the steam it had early on. I have not watched too many silent films, but I was really impressed with the direction of the movie and how much energy the scenes had. Very fun stuff

Definitely a more off-beat film for this time period, but with it being a Tod Browning production that's to be expected. A fairly straightforward yet strange crime melodrama with some fairly memorable moments, of course benefitting from another great performance from Lon Chaney.
