My first silent film and it was very good! I think the idea and initial set up were super interesting as this crazed criminal has a master plan to take revenge on his doctor and the city, but as it went along I found it got a little tedious and off the rails in a way that went on a bit long.
Biggest positives were the music, which I tapped along with and found especially tense during the scenes Rose would play with him, and of course the main performance of Lon Cheney who just has such a spectacular face its insane and was aided by great makeup as well as being crazy enough to tie up his legs up to become a double amputee.
