The first time I watched Happy New Year (when I was much younger) I thought it was the funniest film ever made. On rewatch, though, now that my frontal lobe has developed more, it's pretty bad. Of course it's still entertaining to some degree, but because most of the humour is based on second-hand embarrassment, which I absolutely cannot stand, it's torture trying to get through some scenes. The songs slap, though, and there are some great outfits, but I don't think I can put myself through this again.
