this movie opened with santa claus getting stabbed in jerusalem and i knew i was locked in. the movie's absurdist, surrealist approach as a revolutionary critique on israel's occupation was poignant. the beginning gets repetitive to a ridiculous point, the repeating sequences happen again and again with mundane, banal activities until they all take a comedic shift. theres also almost no dialogue throughout this whole thing, bringing a subtlety to everything even with the absurdism. the cinematography was great throughout, but especially those beginning scenes. the composition of the framing was dynamic, such a treat to look at! so many scenes i want to talk about but then i'd be here forever so i'll just say when that Diva started Struttingggg... top 10 scenes in cinema.
