after finishing the slumber party massacre trilogy, i definitely think this is the worst out the bunch.
it strays away from the original two, it doesn’t have the satirical approach to the original, and it turns down the campy nature of the second film. this is still a fun film nonetheless, it’s just a nice slasher with surprisingly decent characters, great gore/kills, a unconventional and entertaining weapon (a polo mallet?? seriously..) the violence is over the top and the dialogue is cheesy, it overall creates the so bad it’s good factor present in the other 2 films. with all that being said, it’s clearly a weaker film compared to its predecessors. it’s just a lot less generic and a lot more formulaic, this film doesn’t really need to exist but i mean i guess i’m kinda glad it does?? the tones quite uneven and it has a low production value, but i’d lie if i said i didn’t have fun.
