Only Agnes Varda could have made me watch a tourist advertisement about castles.Based the fact that I want to go there now shows that Varda did a great job. This was a lush experience with beautiful cinematography, featuring a wide variety of angles and camera movements to capture the scope of the narration. It was also strangely thought-provoking, bringing back distant memories of Joan of Arc and other poets, juxtaposed with the conditions of the castles in 1958. This short documentary is truly a treat, and I would recommend it.
