Dr. Janos Rukh discovers a certain type of radium that has almost magical healing properties. But the element has a dangerous side, too, and it has already started affecting Rukh. Consumed by paranoia, he begins to suspect that his wife is having an affair. Wild for revenge, Rukh hatches a deadly plot...using his own poisoned body as a weapon to kill.

Very misleading title. There are no invisible rays. Only glow in the dark Boris Karloff. It's also painfully boring and not very good. Everything went downhill after they went to Africa.

cunty foreword and not exactly a very captivating story to back it up which is a little trend i'm noticing with these types of movies for some reason (see: my review for frankenstein) but at least frankenstein was a bit more charming and had something to say (and isn't a flop 😭🙏)
getting THEEEEEEE bela lugosi and boris karloff to star in your movie and making it unappealing and uncharming is truly hard work and it's a feat that hillyer managed to pull off
janos rukh did nothing wrong especially for wanting to kill that guy that stole his wife while he was out making a world changing scientific discovery like trust me i would do so much worse
the invisible man solos the invisible ray

1) Karloff saying “Nothing’s happened to me! What makes you think something’s happened to me?!” while his ass is sitting there literally GLOWING IN THE DARK was so funny 😭
2) Bela should have always had that mustache van dyke combo omg so handsome
3) WELCOME HOME CHEATER @ Diana (Frances Drake)
4) were Carparthia/Carpathian Mountains just A THING in the 30s? like were they just looming large in the popular consciousness??
5) Janos is a tragic figure he didn’t do anything wrong idk
