A solid directorial debut from Spike Lee with a premise that feels very grounded, yet nonetheless fun. Our protagonist is the beating heart of the film, with every move she makes feeling true to life. The side characters, unfortunately, are rather one-note and forgettable. You almost lose track of which man is supposed to have which personality, with the exception of the man she eventually decides she wants. The film overall exudes personality, and only the same can be expected from the rest of Lee's films

Really weird little movie, also listed as a comedy but it didn’t really land that way for me. The only standout scene was when it shifts from black and white to color, not because the color itself matters, but the way it synced with the music was alright.
