somewhat poetic of how they started the series out with a mansion shootout and now they’ve ended with one too

This is pretty solid for a legacy sequel. It is fun and has a lot of exciting and entertaining set pieces but it is by far the most serious of any of the beverley hills cop movies and that part of the movie is mostly boring and feels very filler. Eddie Murphy still works as the wise cracking fast mouthed detective foley. And I think it was a very smart idea to tone down how much rosewood and taggart's roles in this. They still had vital roles in the plot but their screen time was more limited. They are much older and not as talented in their older age as Eddie Murphy. And Joseph Gordan Levitt was a good partner for eddie murphy. they had good chemistry and that helicopter chase was actually a brilliant and awsome set piece. The film just took so long getting to that action that it is not as good as the first but still more entertaining than the sequels to me.
