the art of film lighting has really died huh. stop being influencers we need fucking gaffers. this one was lots of fun and a great early example of the giallo vibe. totally called the killer in this one, but it's aight. i enjoy how the inspector character is the worst fucking guy in the world and also doesn't show up like at all in the last third of the runtime.

this is my first ever bava and i’ll be watching more if i can

(apparently this genre of Italian neon light murder mysteries is called giallo, so i’ll be watching more of that too) 

the colours were amazing - the whole movie felt bright yet shadowy and dark at the same time. 

the story is well written and interesting, was a little predictable but to be fair it was made in 1964 so it’s probably be copied a lot since. 

I saw some reviews saying it was slow but I don’t see that at all, there was something going on at all times. 

I’m a sucker for murder mysteries so was always going to enjoy this 

The opening credits, poster and title are all timers too.
