The secretary of the army sends his deepest condolences….
Really emotional movie that made me feel for the cast and empathize with their misfortune, but also question their actions. A great example of how seemingly misguided, or troubled people, often have a traumatic or depressive history that explains their behavior.
I really liked the first hour of this movie. My problem arose from how disconnected their role as casualty notification officers was from the main plot. At the end, it felt more like the movie was about the development of the main characters (which is great), yet the role that they were tasked with doing (which takes up a decent chunk of screen time) has little to no influence on this development. In short, it feels disjointed.
