Hard Rock Zombies tries to be so bad it’s good, but in reality, it fails and is so bad it’s bad. It’s still a fun ride, but it doesn’t capture the magic of the premise. It knows it’s a bad movie, and plays into it sometimes. But that’s not enough to save it from how dull and stupid the film could be, and that’s not in a good way. The film should have been a dumb fun ride, but it was just dull through so many parts. Also, the crazy dumb parts aren’t even that crazy. There is some fun cheap-looking gore, but it’s better than nothing. The love story would have been fine if it wasn’t between a grown man and a literal underage child. Not only that, but the film keeps reminding you that she’s underage. It’s gross and I have no idea why they decided to have this in the plot when it affected the story in no way whatsoever. The story’s pacing is all over the place and it takes awhile for the plot to even begin. All-in-all, Hard Rock Zombies is not a good film at all. Still, there are some funny moments throughout that barely make this an entertaining watch.
