Unlike Leprechaun, Rumpel doesn't believe in diminishing returns when pursuing his goal (in this case, the protagonist's baby). In act one, he bursts through a wall like the Kool Aid Man. In act 2, he steals a classic chopper from a biker. In the final act, he secures an entire shipping truck to pursue the protagonist in his goals. It just gets bigger and zanier as it goes, and I loved it. It was definitely helped by a villain that hits that sweet spot between silly and terrifying, aided by a design I could only describe as a perfect adaptation of Spider-Man's Green Goblin.
