This is the third movie in a series I haven’t watched so I’m guessing that a lot of the confusion I felt in the tone was due to that but the only reason I was intrigued to watch this movie was because of Aubrey Plaza and I wasn’t about to watch the first two movies that she wasn’t in. However, this movie still has incredibly dull and sometimes pretentious writing that didn’t at all seem to fit the story in any meaningful way. I also didn’t appreciate the “christian” male saviour stereotype here but that may be a personal problem
