This absolutely rocked. After reading a bit about Paul Naschy, its clear he was invested in his wolf man character, playing him for decades but also shared a love for horror in general. It’s easy to tell from a movie like this that there is a clear love for all monster movies on display. As soon as the title card and groovy theme music dropped, I was in.
The vampires always appearing in surreal dreamlike sequences combined with the gross, bloody, and drooly(?) werewolf attack scenes were the highlights for me. Very happy to have stepped into the world of Paul Naschy.
