When this first came out, everyone glazed the ever loving shit out of this which lowkey kind of made me over critical of it when I watched it. Now rewatching it, I realized I did over hate it but was correct in the fact that people gave it way too much praise. It probably got the majority of its praise for its social commentary and style which to me shouldn’t be the main driving force of a film, The story and characters should be. When it comes to the story and characters, yeah they’re solid overall, something you would see in a standard marvel film, though we did get to see a reunion of bilbo baggins and gollum larping as cops and robbers, that was fun. Big negative for them showing the bald chick shifting a PRNDL (automatic gear shift). This film doesn’t do a whole lot different, it’s kind of just safe. It has solid action sets and sequences. One major plus that it has for it was the score was very good especially killmongers. Killmonger was the best character too, he had the most aura to him. Overall it’s a solid installment in the MCU, will rewatch.
RIP to Chadwick Boseman, it’s crazy he died so young. It really was sad when he passed.
