through gaijin eyes, ohdefinitely. I've studied Japanese cinema and history a lot so this just felt like a lecture. An okay Yakuza film, there are better ones out there though.

77/100 Le aspettative sono estremamente promettenti e il film non le delude anche se a volte risulta un po' troppo pesante e lento. Affascinante e ben rappresentato l'incontro tra la cultura orientale e quella occidentale e con questo il film acquista una propria identità e si distingue da un qualsiasi altro film sulla mafia. Ottimi i dialoghi e la regia

A bit too much of a slow burn, but killer vibes and an overall cool movie. The ending almost tricked me into thinking it was great, but then I remembered the first hour is basically nothing.
