thought this was going to be "just" another Ito short. but wow, i was not expecting it to be so different from his other work, even though it does eventually veer towards more familiar territory towards the end. the fact that i happened to watch this right after rewatching Yi Yi is a cool coincidence.

Very warming but also wow that ending. You can feel the vulnerability on film, those unlocked memories you have of those you love, the little things. Things only you and they know, like the back of your hand sharing this wonderful bond. Beautiful.
