Wasn't even gonna have a think piece on this because america is so nothing burger but I think Alex Cox does a great job at showing how nothing burger this country is and it’s still that way. Ideally a bunch of serious shit going on but you can’t do nothing but laugh it’s like everything is backhandedly satirical but I think this was a great performance by Ed Harris and just a very peculiar film interesting to see the unorthodox chaos and the the ending is just off the fuckin wall.

Walker is an anachronistic, weird western biopic about Colonel William Walker, an American Mercenary who briefly took over Nicaragua in the 1850s. Director Alex Cox uses Walker as a critique on U.S. interventionism in Central America under Reagan. Alex Cox never made another movie in Hollywood again after this, he lost out on directing Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas for woke, absolutely baller move. Ok what the actual fuck. I knew I was going to like this but I had no idea to this degree. The fact that this was even able to get made and somewhat. It really some people came to watch this movie think it was in actual bio pic. Holy fuck
