It's weird when the main narrative thrust of a movie is "Shut up, it doesn't matter, just watch the movie". Of the who, what, when, where, and why, we on get a when and that's not enough to build a story on. 31 is a poorly paced action/slasher that stats people, and not characters, doing stuff, but without any defined reasons for doing it. It's like if you too a Friday the 13th movie and only showed the scenes where Jason was killing people, but never told us who Jason is. 31 is just kills without any life in between. You don't need to explain everything, you can have some mystery, but you can't explain nothing and leave everything a mystery. This movie feels like a joke: the acting is all terrible (minus Love-Head, who was actually pretty great), the transitions are goofy as fuck, and the first third feels like camp, but without the awareness. I really don't understand what this movie was going for, but I certainly don't think it was going for "good movie".
