Kind of an underwhelming weirdly romantic thriller. I put this is on knowing nothing about it just based on the fact that it stars Patricia Clarkson who I consider one of the most underrated, under utilized, actresses working. She has this quiet intensity about her that is mesmerizing and she is her usual greatness here. She’s about the only think that keeps the move watchable. It feels unfinished. The store is paper thin and leads you to think that much more is going to be revealed when in fact nothing really is. It’s a lot of missed opportunities and weird romantic tension that I’m not sure is necessary, but I guess it’s something the director likes to explore so whatever. Don’t watch for Tim Roth, he’s in it for probably 5 minutes. Highlights: Patricia Clarkson and the gorgeous cinematography.
