I felt like watching a bad movie and I just knew they would ruin max steel with a live action. I loved the cartoon as a kid.
The plot was stinky, I think they really wanted to set up a franchise here because they only teased the big bad but never gave them much screentime (probably hoping for a sequel to flesh them out).
I think this whole movie covers just the first episode of the tv show - genuinely nothing happens in this movie.

I used to love the TV show as a kid, but it’s only as I’m watching this film now that I’m realising Max Steel is essentially a mix of Blue Beetle and Booster Gold.
This really isn’t a good film. It’s extremely boring, the editing is poor and the story takes about half of the run time to actually come into fruition.
The characters are completely memorable (besides from Steel) and it almost feels like a parody or fan film as opposed to a genuine adaptation. About 95% of anything interesting from the show isn’t even included. Not to mention you see the suit for a total of probably about 2 minutes.
