A solid opening, but This movie had basically lost me an hour in. I was bored as hell by a fairly slow and generic samurai movie. But then Daimajin finally got his ass up, and it was some of the most impressive kaiju stuff I have ever seen. Ultimately worth a watch just for that .

some of the shots involving daimajin gave me headaches trying to figure out how they film those cus some of it are WAY too seamless

anyway, decent story, surprisingly good production design, decent world building enough to keep me invested
