Fields plays "Larsen E. Whipsnade", the owner of a shady carnival that is constantly on the run from the law. A really good movie.

It’s very fun and maybe a criticism of entrepreneurs in circus because the “ honest man” is not that honest I mean his daughter marry the guy just because of his status and it was his idea also the two men who complain about their money are right . The characters of Charlie and the ventriloquist are so nice and really interesting I really like Charlie he has no filter he tells everything he thinks and I like the other dummy too : I see so much of slappy in him (the dummy from goosebumps)
