2007 | Documentary

Still a fantastic documentary. I think it’s incredibly valuable to learn about past revolutionary movements, not only to learn what worked and what didn’t, but also because it’s kinda powerful to see that the fight we are fighting has been fought before. Which obviously can also be very discouraging.

2007 | Documentary

Brett Morgan’s “Chicago 10” is a fantastic documentary about the events at the Democratic National Convention in 1968 and the trial that followed. Sure, the animation is very rough, but the archival footage truly makes up for that. The footage from ‘68 is absolutely phenomenal and immersive and the soundtrack adds so much to this. At times, it all feels as chaotic and turbulent as it was back then.

Get over the animation and watch this, cause it’s a phenomenal portrait of a rotten state and a rotten system and the people that stood up to it.
