This late Fulci era movie really delivered for me, the crazy story, over the top deaths, fun practical effects really make this enjoyable i mean there is a guy who is split in half and another one who is killed by an invisible women.
The pacing wasn't that good comparing it to other Fulci films, but in the last act i was fully onboard.

Oh man, that sure hit the spot. A gory and atmospheric horror movie made by the legend Lucio Fulci about dead nuns terrorizing a small town in Sicily.

The setting, atmosphere, wardrobe, crosses, blood-soaked kids, dismemberments, eye-gouging cats, old ruins… Demonia has it all.

Unfortunately, the movie is a bit slower than it should be, especially during the first half. But once the camera starts going crazy in the second half, things really kick off, and the movie becomes way more fun.

Definitely recommend watching Demonia if you haven’t already. It’s not a highlight of Fulci’s filmography, but it’s a good time overall.

It's great knowing that I've finally watched a movie from Argento, Bava, and Fulci, my holy trinity of Italian directors. Hooray, I'm cultured.
Demonia has a great creepy, gothic atmosphere starting right from the credits. You've got to appreciate that level of dedication to the vibe. Of course, being Italian, Demonia is, in a traditionally Italian sort of way, very pretty with some fantastic lighting and stunning dream sequences.
Moving towards the actual plot and substance of the movie, why would you immediately assume a person is crazy for seeing nun corpses in an ancient monastery? That's like pretty reasonable in the grand scheme of things you can find in an ancient monastery. There is so clearly a man's level of confidence needed to say something so firmly despite being totally wrong.
Also, it needs to be said that there are some pretty fun, creative kills. Not all of them are necessarily well done, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't entertained.
If you will be so kind as to allow me one small tangent unrelated to the actual quality of the movie, the actress wears an absolutely gorgeous sweater in one scene that had me in AWE. It was this beautiful emerald green turtleneck sweater WITH A BISHOP SLEEVE. Literally stop I love it too much.
In conclusion, Italians are rad, but y'all already knew that.
