I thought i’d enjoy it more since it’s a Lang film, however this film shares almost none of that anxiety and surveillance suspense seen in some of his earlier works. It’s very apparent this film has been heavily included by the American Golden age, overall though it was simple and to some extent enjoyable.

The only one of these Lang-directed Westerns that actually makes sense as a Fritz Lang production. Definitely need to revisit because I didn't really know where it was going, but the technicolor is gorgeous. Though if anything it just kinda made me want to rewatch Johnny Guitar.

Ridin'. Robbin'. Shootin'. Killin'. Lovin'. Everything a good western needs. The budget made them film a lot of outdoor scenes on indoor sets but the result is some beautiful Technicolor matte paintings and backdrops. Good stuff.

imagine living in America in this period of time, literally a dream of mine🥹
that’s what europeans like to call „the american dream“
actually i wanna be a cowboy.
