i loooove the atmosphere of this movie along with how everything looks. the graveyard scenes and the big castles it is so lovely. certain parts or scenes feel as though they go on for a little too long but!!!!! i did enjoy it anyway and i didn’t expect the twist at the end at all!!!

Wow! A vampire film starring Bela Lugosi as LEGALLY DISTINCT VAMPIRE NOT NAMED DRACULA. He may be dressed like him, he may move like him, he may give all the same stern looks as him, but Lugosi is NOT DRACULA HERE.

(This does make me want to finally watch his Dracula films, though.)

Aside from him being here and doing his usual schtick this is a pretty tame murder mystery with a bit of a baffling ending. The vampire superstitions and how they interact with then-modern detectives is good, though, so I won’t say this film is a total disappointment. A three seems reasonable.
