A surprisingly interesting finale to the Corman-Poe cycle. Price is great as always, but Elizabeth Shepard is quite wonderful in this one and very much steals the show. This one is definitely more of a gothic romance than a gothic horror, and that's a plus in my book. I really like the use of location filming, which really makes this one standout from the others in the series, as well as the more subdued color palate, with the occasional burst of bright red. The pacing is still the most obvious issue, like many of the films in this series, but its unique qualities definitely make this one worth a look.
