Must be very anxiety-inducing to be a cat. Carroll Ballard keeps the camera as low as possible whenever we see things from Priscilla’s point of view. The sharp editing makes me completely forget what it would take to get some of these shots as the titular cat escapes her home and starts wandering the streets of LA. The way the camera maintains focus on Priscilla is never too jarring or even from one perspective for too long, with Priscilla’s point of view shots being the only grounding aspect throughout the chaos of the later sequences.
Wish it had a happy ending, though.
