James Franco’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
Eesh, the bad ratings weren’t wrong. I literally got nothing out of this film. If anything, I was getting bored. The only thing I kind of liked about it was the cinematography. It was a very nothing film.
James is definitely a way better actor than director.
This film ruined my mood until I saw a new Watchmojo video that had 127 Hours on the thumbnail. That’s basically all I need to get myself back into a good mood!
And was James’s character autistic?

it's funny because this is actually a pretty faithful adaptation of the novel but completely inscrutable if you don't have that to fall back on. my favorite threads in the book were this damaged dude grappling with his old-testament style upbringing, and this just boils down to a lil weirdo who likes movies too much. Will Ferrell sings multiple songs in this.
